The Foundation sponsored the 21st Annual Conference of the International Society for Neoplatonic Studies, which was held in Trinity College, Dublin on 19 – 23 June, 2024 and attended by 158 delegates.  This society promotes the study of the philosophy of Plato and its long tradition, with a particular interest on the interpretation of Plato’s writings by his student, Aristotle, and their continuing influence today.  The conference took the form of a series of panels whose speakers delivered papers on an impressive variety of topics including ‘Metaphysics and Nature’, ‘Neoplatonic Aesthetics’, ‘Aristotle among the Neoplatonists’, ‘Soul, Immortality, and the Afterlife’, ‘Platonic Egypt and Egyptian Platonism’, ‘Transcendental Echoes: Neoplatonism’s Influence on American Renaissance Thought’, ‘Platonism and Neoplatonism in Contemporary Philosophical Discourse’, ‘Navigating Neoplatonic Hierarchies:  The Ups and Downs for the Soul’, ‘Nature of Platonic Thought’, and ‘Neoplatonism and the Arts through the Ages’.
